"Oil Water R II" – Specialized additive for alkaline electrolyzed water
Sunday, 01 September 2013
Additive for electrolyzed water well-suited for machining difficult-to-cut materials such as titanium and inconel
Previously, oil-derived and oil-based cutting fluids have been used for machining difficult-to-cut materials. However, adding "Oil Water R II" to alkaline electrolyzed water can now be used to create a water-soluble cutting fluid comparable to oil-based cutting fluids.
●An additive that maximizes the advantages of alkali electrolysis water’s cooling performance, antimicrobial effect, and cleaning efficiency.
Features
1. Offers excellent performance even when machining difficult-to-cut materials.
2. Extends tool life and considerably helps reduce costs.
3. Shows excellent defoaming properties and greatly minimizes bubbles.
4. Shows excellent rustproofness, protecting iron-based work materials from rust.
5. The PRTR (Pollutant Release and Transfer Register) Law is not applicable.
Oil Water R II” reduces cleaning work, which is troublesome in conventional machining using oil-based cutting fluids, and there is no danger of fire. This is an environment-friendly additive that does not fall under the PRTR Law. “Oil Water R II” is gaining attention both in Japan and overseas as a new water-soluble additive well-suited both for difficult-to-cut materials previously requiring oil-based cutting fluids for machining, and for aircraft-related materials.
