Flexible Organic Photovoltaics (OPV): FAQs
- What is OPV?
- A solar cell made mainly from organic materials, including the power generation part.
- What are the features of OPV?
- Since it is light and bendable, it does not require reinforcement for installation, and it can be installed in various places to generate power.
- What is the power generation efficiency?
- Depending on the installation environment and installation location, it will be 25 to 30W per 1m2 of OPV.
- How long does it last?
- Depending on the installation environment and installation location, it can last more than 10 years indoors and more than 5 years outdoors.
- What is the size and weight?
- The size and weight of a main OPV unit is about 300 mm wide x 300 mm long and weighs several tens of grams, or about 600 mm wide x 1,000 mm long and weighs several hundred grams.
We also have small to large OPV and leaf-shaped OPV, so please feel free to contact us.
- What kind of users are you introducing OPV to?
- We have introduced them to railways, department stores, government offices, universities, theme parks, etc. that promote carbon neutrality and the SDGs.
- What are the contributions to carbon neutrality and the SDGs?
- Each OPV 1 m2 generates power sufficient to replace approximately 40 grams of CO2 emissions. This is equivalent to the average amount of CO2 absorbed by one 50 year-old cedar tree.
