A vibration absorber called a mechanical snubber is installed in nuclear power plants to protect the nuclear reactor from vibrations, such as those caused by earthquakes. When vibration such as vertical shaking and horizontal shaking is applied from the outside, the vibration absorber converts that motion into rotary motion and absorbs it. The MORESCO-HIRAD RG Series has been used as the grease to ensure that the rotary motion is smooth.
